Baltimore Consulting are working with a Local Authority, currently undergoing exciting changed, based in the South West who are seeking an Asset Manager (IT System Implementation) on a Full Time and Interim basis to fulfil an initial 3-6 Month assignment.
The ideal will be responsible for the implementation of a new property system across the organisation, you will be responsible for all data and records relating to General Fund, Housing and Corporate related assets. You will ensure the accuracy and security of terrier, asset management databases and provide expert and definitive property records advice and information on which a range of other services rely to make key service and investment decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities consist of:
- To oversee the provision of a property records, including the day to day supervision of staff delivering that service.
- To be the Lead Officer for relevant asset management software/records including
- To regularly liaise with users and recipients of asset related data to ensure an accurate and effective service is provided.
- To produce asset data reports as required and in particular to produce stock condition information to assist business planning and maintenance budget setting.
- To liaise with the Property team to ensure ongoing collection of appropriate stock condition data on relevant assets.
- To liaise with the Property Team to ensure the effective recording of asset compliance information such as Asbestos, Gas Safety, Electrical testing data.
- To ensure all lease events and licences are recorded, reviews mentored and liaise with Valuation Officers to ensure estate management activity is undertaken.
- To provide expert input and accurate property data to all work planning and scheduling activities for all Housing and General Fund Assets, in conjunction with other property colleagues and finance team.
The ideal person will hold:
- Experience in asset and property data management issues, and an understanding of other related housing and property service areas
- Previous experience working within a local authority, including a clear understanding of statutory requirements to adhere to.
- Able to make decisions on matters relating to asset and property data providing partners with clear advice and recommendations.
- Numerate and analytical with the ability to interpret, analyse and extract relevant information from complex reports and translate these to wider stakeholders
- Strong IT Skills, including the use of Microsoft Word & Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills demonstrating the ability to consult, influence and negotiate with a wide range of people at a senior level
Price / Salary: £300 - £450/day
