A small and friendly Primary and Nursery School in the heart of Tameside are looking to recruit a Level 4 Teaching Assistant to join a fast growing team.
The Governors are looking for someone who has clear vision and enthusiasm to make a difference to the lives of the children in the Ashton area/community and for someone who will continue to develop the many strengths and achievements of the school, particularly in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of working with early years and Key stage one pupils. They will also have experience of building strong relationships with parents and carers.
The role will include:
* Teaching and supporting learning in the foundation stage
* Managing and running our community base provision - which provides family learning and family support
*Liaising with local organisations to ensure pupils are school ready.
* Running parent courses and classes and supporting the engagement of parents in their child's learning
*Supporting and leading whole school parent engagement/liaison events
* supporting and developing provision for children under the age of 3 (pre nursery groups)
* working alongside the Leader for Pupil Premium to ensure disadvantaged funding targets pupils effectively
* In conjunction with the school business manager, managing the nursery waiting list and transition into the foundation setting
* Liaising closely with the Foundation Stage phase leader, ensuring excellent communication and sharing of knowledge
* Leading TA performance review across the school
The successful candidate will have:
* An excellent understanding of the early years curriculum and the importance language acquisition plays in the development of a child
* An interest in raising the aspirations of a community to ensure pupils are school ready
* Excellent teaching skills, including questioning, feedback and role play
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* High expectations of themselves, children and parent/carers
* A can do positive attitude
* An ability to lead and motivate staff
