We are recruiting for a Material Control Team Leader to work for a well established organisation in Tiverton, Devon. The successful candidate will be required to manage all aspects of yarn material control and machine parts within the Woven Fabrics Division.

Key duties and responsibilities of the role include: management, control and upkeep of various stores; overseeing the delivery of goods to production; mechanical maintenance of delivery trolleys, machine parts and warp beams; controlling stock levels; and managing a small team of stores personnel. Other responsibilities include providing support to management to improve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery performance; and ensuring the department operates to the required standard as set out in the departmental documentation, including SOPs and Standard Work.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00. The salary is highly competitive and DOE. Ideal applicants should demonstrate a sound working knowledge of stock control. Candidates should have excellent people skills and ideally, have experience of managing a team. You must have a responsible attitude and a logical approach. Strong numeracy and literacy skills are essential for maintaining records. You need to have mechanical skills and pay attention to detail. The successful applicant will possess or will be willing to study towards supervisory and management skills. In addition, applicants must be proficient in all Microsoft software, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
