An interim position has become available for a Bid Manager to work for a public sector client in Sheffield city centre. You will be responsible for identifying potential funding opportunities to support the delivery of a project and prepare bids that successfully meet the criteria to be awarded funding.

Responsibilities:
Work with the Directors and teams across the board to deliver the vision of the project by attracting funding from a wide range of funders.
Be proactive in establishing and maintaining relationships and networks with a wide range of stakeholders (both regionally and nationally) and potential partners to gain funding.
Be an active member of appropriate university groups and represent the client at relevant external fora and in networks relating to external funding.
Ensuring that all content for tenders is of the highest quality and help increase the proportion
Collate feedback from successful and unsuccessful bids; working alongside the Director of South Yorkshire Futures to implement changes.
Liaise with Subject Matter experts across the University; keeping up to date with any changes and informing the Director when necessary.
Display creative flair in writing by producing bids that clearly set out the overall vision of South Yorkshire Futures, and how particular projects will support the overall mission, but also meeting the funder's criteria and so are successful in attracting funding.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Significant experience supporting and contributing to bids/tender with proven success
Excellent proposal writing and editing experience
Experience in Education sector bids ( desirable)
Experience managing numerous bids simultaneously
Experience of costing bids in the education sector

Contract position
Salary £33,518 - £37,606 per annum.
