Ford & Stanley have an opportunity for a lively materials planner with SAP experience and a real talent for developing supplier relationships to join a company that is setting up a new supply chain to deliver against a major UK operation.

Proactive supplier relationships is the name of the game and my multinational manufacturer needs someone who values being on the phone and communicative to ensure that performance levels are achieved.

Responsibilities include:

* Utilisation of a planning system to generate optimal stock holdings & forecast requirements
* Updating planning system inputs to reflect changes in the range of SKU's or the requirements in response to external changes (e.g. additional projects)
* Responsibility for the availability and stock levels of a specific subset of overall SKUs
* Use of SAP to place & manage orders in accordance with the materials planning system
* Monitoring and management of any expediting requirements to ensure part availability but minimise the budgetary impact of expediting
* Completion of reporting, reviewing documentation etc.
* Identification of improvement programmes required to increase stock availability or forecast accuracy
* Coordinating with warranty and repair officers and operational staff to understand the accurate availability of stock and likely dates for repair returns

The successful candidate will be experienced in a materials planner role and have experience with SAP. What will differentiate you is your obvious communication skills - we require individual who will bring energy and drive to a role where heavy emphasis is placed upon developing communicative relationships.
