Position: Accounts Manager
Location: Nottingham
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum

About the Role:
The Accountant will be involved in providing accounting and tax services to our portfolio of clients in the SME sector. You will be responsible for the provision of a variety of non-assurance services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide management over a portfolio of clients and deliver high quality accounting and advisory service
- Achieve team and individual budgets and business plan/ performance objectives
- Manages project financials, including budgets, WIP, timely billing and collection and variance recognition
- Manage the timetable for your portfolio
- Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks
- Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis
- Participants in the development of ways to meet client needs, contributes to proposal delivery
- Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
- Manage staff, coach, train and develop staff to upgrade their knowledge
- Carry out practice management activities e.g. resourcing client billing etc.
- Produce reports highlighting issues and providing potential solutions
- Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
- Management Accounting and year end tasks
About You:
- Professional accounting qualification and/or a Bachelor degree and Master degree in Accounting
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Accounting and tax experience, ideally with exposure SME sector
- Project management skills and experience in leading teams
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP and Auditing Standards (UK and Ireland)
- Accounting and tax software experience
- Knowledge of all MS Office products
- Full clean driving licence with car
- Good interpersonal and communication skills

- Flexibility to accommodate peaks in workload
- Working unsociable hours will be required from time to time
