Procurement Programme Director
A leading Energy provider based in London is seeking a Procurement Programme Director to join their team for a minimum of 12 months, with the view for up to 24 months.
The company is procuring the next iteration of the UK's market data hub which will form the basis of their technical services up to the next 10 years.
This is where the successful candidate will come in.
This is a key role for an exceptional, senior programme director, who will take control of the day to day management of the procurement programme, being responsible for the successful delivery of the programme, managing all risks and issues and ensuring engagement with all stakeholders.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a hands-on approach to defining and driving forward programmes of this size and complexity in a formal, OJEU environment.
Duties:
* Responsibility for the successful procurement under OJEU
* Establish Project Structure
* Define high level and detailed project plans and maintain them throughout the programme
* Manage a series of POCs to confirm new requirements above and beyond existing services
* Proactively manage the procurement within the rules of the European Journal
* Delivery of procurement documentation including requirements specification and draft Master Services Agreement
* Deliver and execute a stakeholder engagement plan
* Delivery of a suitable scoring matrix to assess bids
* Delivery of a shortlist of bidders to take to contract negotiation
* Delivery of an agreed contract/contracts
* Matrix management of supporting resources
* Programme reporting to senior management level
* Proactive management of RAID items
* Development, management and reporting of internal, costed resource plan for implementation phase
Key skills:
* Demonstrable track record of delivering successful programmes of IT service procurement to a total contract value of at least £15m through the OJEU
* Exceptional man-management skills in a matrix management environment who leads by example
* Exceptional communication skills to all types of stakeholder
* Can-do attitude to resolving issues and managing risks
* Well organised, structured approach to programmes of work
* Ability to quickly assimilate and understand technical and commercial details
* The ability to develop rapidly an expert knowledge of the service
* Operational delivery experience
* Understanding of commercial contracts
