I have a new vacancy for an operations manager with my manufacturing client based in Chelmsford / Colchester area. The operations manager will responsible for leading the operations team to exceed business and customer expectations whilst reporting in to the group manufacturing director. You will provide leadership and guidance to achieve excellence in manufacturing and delivery to support year on year growth. The operations manager will have control of budgets and must manage this to stay within agreed levels.

A background in in precision engineering is essential due to the nature of the business. You will have strong leadership and man-management skills with a track record of achieving results. The operations manager will be managing people, process, quality, production, maintenance and the toolroom so will need to have managed a senior leadership team in the past. Experience with lean manufacturing, value engineering and great analytical skill will be required to deliver the expected results.
