Job Title: Area Sales Manager Tile Adhesive & Grout and Floor Screeds



Industry Sector: Tile Fixers, Tile Sub-Contractors, Architects, Specifiers, Main Contractors and Tile Distributors

Area to be covered: Midlands (with flexibility North & South)

Remuneration: £30,000-£40,000 + up to £10,000 Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed Car & Benefits

The role of the Area Sales Manager Tile Adhesive & Grout and Floor Screeds will involve:

Selling a manufactured mid-high end range of quality tile adhesives & grouts and floor screeds
70% of your time selling direct into tile sub-contractors / tile fixers
Remainder of time split between architects and main contractors (there will be a requirement to recruit tile distributors, but this will be some time down the line)
New business development role, this is a new territory for our client and only available through company growth plans
Joining a UK start up, part of a large European group
Revenue target will vary dependent upon experience, but is likely to be in the region of £50,000-£200,000 year one
Order values from £500 to £100,000+, current average order circa £2,000
Managing a variety of sales cycles from specification with architects, to following the sale up directly with specialist tile fixer/contractors and main contractors

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Tile Adhesive & Grout and Floor Screeds with:

Must come from either the tile or flooring industry
Proven track record in field sales
New business hunter (not someone looking for a coffee run)
Hungry / motivated
Ability to sell a less well recognised brand
Comfortable in start up environment
Ideally with knowledge of tile adhesive & grout or flooring screeds
Must have sold to contractors, ideally tile fixers / tile sub-contractors
Previous experience selling to architects and main contractors is not essential
Knowledge of market and relationships within the customer base is essential
Excellent territory planning capability
