Technical Architect - Stockport - 54,000 / 60,000 plus bonus

ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Software Architect with immediate effect for their client based in Stockport.

Role purpose;
Architecture and definition of technical solutions for devices or systems.

Role;
Guiding the technical development of major software projects to meet performance and targets on firmware.
Applying technical expertise in the development of major complex products and software tools.
Inventing new techniques or advances the state-of-the-art in complex developments with substantial technical risks.
Extending technical knowledge to introduce new approaches into software design and coding techniques.
Taking responsibility for the architecture on Security, DLMS and ZigBee concepts/protocols.
Steering the development team to make them understand the concepts of Vader and GBCS architecture.
Involving in new HW architecture design to propose views on FW aspects.
Giving solutions for problems found in external/ joint integration testings (SIT, UEPT, JIT).
Understanding the market requirements and converting them into technical specifications/user stories providing a technical vision to the development team.
Preparing detail plans of developments and managing the backlog items.

Interfaces

Interacting frequently with industry peers to understand the latest industry standards.
Interacting with various functional groups coordinating both technical and administrative matters.
Interacting with Project Managers to ensure quality in process and conformance with CPA and CMMI standards.
Managing frequent interaction with other functional groups to define and match software with new markets or market needs.
Interacting with manufacturing to support the needs of production and steering the technical team as per the needs of production.
Interacting with Project, Product and Program managers to get in depth knowledge of customer requirements and roadmaps, giving support to customers wherever necessary.
Representing technical and standard working groups.
Coordinating conformance and certification on software features like DLMS, ZigBee, security.
