Job Description
The post-holder will ideally have some previous customer service experience in a similar commercial role as you will need to be able to deal with consumer and trade customers comfortably and professionally by telephone, email, and live chat in a fast paced, varied and fun environment.
Respond to customer enquiries providing product and basic nutritional advise
Support and operate in close partnership with external sales team
Clarify and enter international customer orders
As one team, provide occasional support to UK customers by telephone and live chat
Manage orders carefully from receipt to despatch and arrival in country
Obtain freight quotes, book sea and air freight LCL and FCL shipments, establish effective working relationships with freight forwarders and groupage hauliers
Prepare export documentation for multiple countries with various requirements
Liaise with internal departments (Planning, Accounts, Technical, Warehouse etc.) to successfully resolve customer queries and concerns
Record and respond effectively to customer complaints in a timely manner
Act as a link between customers and our Technical team during product registration
Person Specification
Team player with experience of working in a fast-paced environment
Ideally, 2 years previous experience in export customer service, seeking a new challenge
Excellent ability to work accurately and concisely under pressure
Ability to juggle administration tasks with incoming calls and live chat queries
Flexible approach, willing to adapt to new challenges
Sound judgement, excellent problem solving and customer care skills
Professional and friendly telephone manner
Experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
Excellent written communication skills, ability to engage with non-native English speakers
Passion for service excellence, enthusiastic and driven work ethic
Price / Salary: £25000 - £30000/annum
