Premier Work Support is now recruiting for Production Operatives for one of our prestigious clients based in the Horsham area. These are full-time temp to perm positions for the right candidates.

This is a physical role which will involve some heavy lifting and carrying. You will be required to cut, trim, glue or pack the products in accordance with instructions. You will also be required to complete woodworking tasks in the construction of frames, jigs or boards. You will be applying pastes, glass fiber, tapes and solvents in preparation of the products. You will be responsible for organising and prioritising tasks and will need to follow work instructions, engineering drawings and works orders. It is essential that you adhere to all health and safety requirements and ensure compliance with company policies.

The successful candidate will need to be able to operate all factory machinery in a safe and competent manner, in accordance with any instruction or training given, installation manual or course provided. You will also need to perform any basic maintenance or repair to any machine as trained and authorised and have the aptitude to work more than one machine at a time. Reporting of equipment and/or health and safety issues will also be required.

A forklift licence would be advantageous, although full training will be provided, and own transport is essential due to the location of the business.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills in written and spoken English. They will also be a team player with initiative and good communication skills and have the ability to work under pressure and to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines.

The hours of work are 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, with a half hour lunch break.
