A Specialist Distribution company are looking for a talented and ambitious Assistant Transport Manager to join their team in London.

The Assistant Transport Manager will be assisting the Transport Manager with the London and surrounding offices with all transport and delivery related matters, including staff management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities;
Support the Transport Manager with any and all relevant tasks as required by management of the business
Managing staff including driver trainers and drivers
Manage the daily delivery of logistics services
Work with other departments including customer services regarding any issues, and HR regarding new driver hires
Ensure all deliveries are completed correctly and to deadline
Monitoring drivers using the relevant company software system
Ensure driver holidays and absences are covered
Organise weekly reports to present to the Transport Manager

The ideal candidate will have;
Experience working in a Transport environment
Team management experience
Strong attention to detail
Good IT skills including Microsoft packages
Strong geographical knowledge of London
Full clean driving license
Excellent communication skills
Able to cope with early starts
Energetic and enthusiastic approach

Working hours:
Monday - Wednesday 4:00am-2:30pm
Thursday - Friday 4:00am-12:00pm
