Role: Service Advisor / Workshop Receptionist
Location: Northallerton
Shifts: Monday - Friday (between 8.00am - 4.30pm)
Hours: 37.5 per week
Basic Pay: £9.40 per hour (Equivalent salary over 18k)
Contract: On-going temporary cover
The role is an on-going temporary position with a national fleet maintenance company, who are currently looking for an assistant at their busy vehicle depot. The Reception is open from 8am - 5pm (Monday to Friday).
Based in a busy Reception, your duties will include:
* Processing vehicles booked in and 'walk in' jobs
* Dealing with daily vehicle hire reservations
* Liaise with Workshop Supervisor to prioritise work through the workshop
* Order parts, check deliveries and allocate to Technicians to use
* Liaise with customers by phone/email/text (updates/vehicle completion)
* Process and close job cards
* Send relevant paperwork to head office
* Fax release paperwork to the Vehicle Sales Unit
* You may be asked to move or road test vehicles on occasion and because of this, ideal candidates will have a full, clean driving licence
* Planning yearly service/MOT's for clients' vehicles

This is a challenging Service Advisor role in a busy workshop reception environment and candidates should be able to demonstrate comprehensive customer service experience and computer skills and a strong ability to work on their own initiative. The ideal candidate will have worked in a dealership or fleet environment as a Receptionist or Service Advisor.
