Mechanical/Electrical Assembly Fitter required for our client in the Warwickshire area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for
Working safely at all times within EHS guidelines
Working within a team but also expected to use own skills and initiative in the assembly of Rotating Machines
Maintain the standards in the process and procedures during manufacture
Achieving production and quality targets
Liaising with Area and Team Leaders and other departments on the shop floor
Supporting business needs for manufacturing output

Required Key Tasks
Familiarisation of mechanical and electrical drawings, understanding geometric tolerances and key symbols
Previous experience working on rotating machines such as motors and generators
Mechanical skills required to fit heaters, auxiliary boxes and instruments to drawing specifications
Assemble mains and neutral sub-assemblies
Assist in the threading of rotors, setting air gaps, form and fit pipework
Be involved in the fitting of bearings, Kopex and conduit runs, exciters and fitting of couplings
Electrical skills required to identify and run cables, connect instruments and auxiliary boxes
Mechanical fitting preparing machine for test, fit drives, gear couplings, lubrication and cooling systems
Preparation of machine for dispatch, drill and fit labels, earth bonding, final fit conduit, instrumentation, transit gear
Well organised, reliable and accurate with a high attention to detail
Ability to work to instructions and quality standards
Experience of working to deadlines
Able to work flexible hours as demand requires

Desired Characteristics
Previous experience of mechanical and electrical fitting to a recognised authority standard
Ability to work within a team, with a positive attitude to meeting production targets
Due to nature of work, security clearance required
Flexible to business needs within a production environment

Price / Salary: £16.00/hour
