My client is seeking a Special Claims Unit Fraud Coordinator to work from their Head Office in Milton Keynes, reporting to the Anti-Fraud Manager. SCU manages the investigation of third party motor claims which show a level of fraud indicators.
You will do this by:
Maintaining a high level of response to incoming referrals from both mainstream and SIRA, to ensure these are responded to within 24 hours.
Using research, good judgment, experience, and knowledge, in order to make sound decisions when assessing referrals.
Acting as the main liaison for internal stakeholders for referrals and queries.
Being responsible for the implementation and delivery of fraud training as required.
Working as part of the SCU Intelligence team; by keeping up to date with incoming Intelligence, identifying new trends, requesting MI, completing focused file reviews.
Analysing the data and information gathered from referrals and MI reports, to identify fraud risks that require special investigation by the SCU.
Developing and submitting risk assessment reports, to the Anti-Fraud Manager, for either internal management within SCU, onward communication to the Senior Leadership Team or external Stakeholders.
The successful candidate will already have or be willing to study for a level 4 of the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) which is equivalent to Certificates of Higher Education or the following Diplomas CII, ILM4, CIMA or BCS.
You should also have:
Excellent and extensive knowledge and application of claims handling, gained from experience of working as a Claims Handler or SCU Claims Investigator (or similar). This should include:
Uninsured Drivers Agreement and/or Untraced Drivers Agreement and/or Internal Regulations
The Road Traffic Act and Article 75
EC Directives
An excellent and extensive working knowledge of CPR, PACE, DPA and The Fraud Act 2006
The ability to make a reasoned decision as to when to investigate or settle a claim, with
The ability to make a reasoned decision as to when to investigate or settle a claim, with consideration to Intelligence, evidence and economics
Excellent and extensive knowledge of motor insurance and claims principles, keeping abreast of all current developments
Outstanding communication skills - verbal and written
At least 3 years of experience from working in an Anti-Fraud Environment and a clear understanding of all types of motor fraud
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience of working with anti-fraud databases is preferred
Effective time management skills and the ability to self-manage workloads and priorities with other members of the SCU Intelligence team

Price / Salary: £32000/annum
