You will be working within a great public sector customer support team.
Your new role
You will be providing exceptional support to our customers, you'll be using systems and procedures that ensure the timely and accurate processing of a variety of transactions. You'll actively promote the self service model, working towards an ethos of customer excellence. You will provide a flexible approach to our service delivery, with opportunity (where the business requires) to work across functional areas offering variety to your role. We have a range of roles available with potential to specialise in the future, depending on skills and experience.
Main Responsibilities:
* Work with colleagues to respond to customer enquires, through a range of channels including telephone calls, email and e-forms. To promote the self serve model and help educate our customers to self serve more effectively.
* Take ownership in helping resolving queries at first contact and escalating appropriately where necessary. Following our customer contact model, you will provide a friendly and positive experience for our customers whilst understanding the particular implications of quality and service requirements. Using our prescribed systems and procedures to process transactions, you will apply and maintain controls necessary to ensure accurate and timely work according to the agreed service standards.
* Work with a range of computer systems to maintain, input, check and report on data and information. Systems include Excel, Word and internal systems such as SAP and VIM Assist with daily routine tasks such as managing incoming and outgoing post, scanning documentation, creating contracts, maintenance of shared email accounts and a number of other general administration duties.
* Work as part of a team to maintain high standards and meet the business needs.
What you'll need to succeed
* GCSE - A to C in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
* Good communication skills (written and verbal).
* Understanding of and willingness to deliver excellent customer service.
* Can be flexible and positive with the demands of the business
* Good IT skills and familiar with a range of software.
* Works well in a team.
* Organised and able to prioritise activities, often to tight deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to achieve 'right first time'.
* Good follow up skills to be able to achieve pragmatic solutions
