We are looking for a Deputy Manager for a well-known provider who can offer experience within Learning Disabilities, Sensory impairment and complex needs. The right person will need to come in and hit the ground running with supporting the Home Manager in the day to day running of the home. You will need to be able to lead a team of support workers to help deliver high standard care to the residents. You must be able to form solid relationships with all staff, residents and their families.
Brilliant opportunity for someone with less experience within a manager role, salary progression is included.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities of a Deputy Manager:
* Excellent knowledge of CQC standards and compliance management within registered services
* Positive role model for staff
* Experience & ability to give medication as per policy direction
* Able to monitor and support staff and allocate work within a residential setting
* Excellent knowledge and ability to implement H & S and risk management within the service
* Knowledge, experience, understanding and practical ability to manage a service, supporting individuals with a learning disability in a person-centred way including:
* Ensuring the implementation of person-centred support including person-centred Identifying when appropriate care and support is not being provided.
* Ensuring all staff complete all appropriate training to the required standard to support requirements of the individuals the home support
* Reviews, staff supervision and appraisal, to ensure that the people we support can achieve identified outcomes
* Action to take, including reporting issues internally and externally as required. Enable them to provide appropriate care and support to individuals
* On call 1 week a month
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Hands on practitioner
- Being on top of all tasks
- Level 5 Health and Social Care / Leadership or wanting to progress on from a level 3
- Worked with young adults/challenging behaviour
- Ability to work as a team/individually
- Good IT skills
- Being a motivator towards individuals
- At least 6 months - 1-year experience within a managerial role in a care setting
- VALID DBS IS A MUST

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 annum
