A terrific opportunity has become available in the South West with a very well respected IFA looking to take on an experienced area manager.

To recruit, select and ensure the supervision and performance reviews and PDPs of social work and outreach staff are carried out in line with company policies.
To be responsible and proactive for public relations and liaising with purchasing authorities and CSCI/CSCIW.
To ensure training programmes are developed and delivered for foster carers, staff and other professionals as appropriate.
To maintain up to date knowledge of relevant child care legislation, regulations and guidance for fostering
To ensure that the fostering provision meets company equal opportunities policy and all other operational policies, procedures and standards
To ensure appropriate social work, outreach, out of hours and administrative cover arrangements and allocations of work are in place.
To be aware of companies child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns and complaints to the Service Manager or a Senior Manager, the relevant placing authority and the area authority.
To maintain and provide statistical information on placements, referral and other relevant information.
To manage day-to-day accommodation matters in conjunction with the Service Manager.
To monitor targets and manage day-to-day financial planning within the context of agreed budgets.
To participate in the out of hours rota according to companies out of hours policy.
To carry out a quality assurance role in relation to case files, Form F assessments and reviews and to contribute to improvements in the fostering service identified by CSCI inspections.
To manage the duty system and to provide an efficient service to placing authorities.
To develop the training programme and to assist in the delivery of training for foster carers.
To manage the recruitment, assessment, training and support of potential and approved foster carers in line with company standards.
To participate in company Fostering Panels as a Fostering Advisor.
To carry out annual reviews of foster carers as required.
To attend and contribute to regular management meetings and development of the service including business planning for the area.
To undertake any other duties identified by the Service or a Senior Manager.
