Marbleside Care is a long-established family-owned Supported Living Service taking great pride in the 24 hour cover we provide for a number of adults with learning difficulties in both independent living and shared community living environments. We are currently looking to recruit new Support Workers at our Margate care centre.
Successful Support Workers will show an ability to work with individuals in a respectful manner and to assist them with daily tasks including personal care, health and hygiene, medication, cooking, cleaning and shopping.
No experience in registered care or a support role is necessary, simply a willingness to help transform lives by supporting people in their home setting. You will receive a full induction, which you will be paid to attend, as well as free, ongoing training including working towards your NVQ/QCF.
This is a full-time 35 hours per week role requiring the flexibility to work some evenings, weekends and bank holidays where necessary. There is also a night worker position available. Pay incentives are offered for weekends and bank holidays.

Your duties as a Support Worker will include:
* Providing appropriate support to people in all aspects of their daily life, including helping people to make their own choices.
* Enabling and supporting people with their personal care and hygiene, shopping, cooking, budgeting, gardening, housework and cleaning.
* Administering medication in line with the rules for this and encouraging people to administer their own medication where appropriate. Attending to and reporting medical emergencies immediately.
* Planning and enabling people to access leisure, social and educational activities, voluntary and work opportunities, holidays, outings and appointments.
* Completing relevant administrative records & duties.
The ideal Candidate will have the following skills and qualities:
* The willingness to help transform lives by supporting people with learning disabilities.
* Previous experience within a support or registered care role would be of great benefit but is not essential.
* Previous experience of supporting people with epilepsy or challenging behaviours would be of interest (this could include caring for or supporting a family member or friend).
* The ability to work well as part of a team that really looks after each other, to really enjoy mucking-in.
* Be flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
* Successful applicants will be required to provide an enhanced disclosure.
Salary and Reward Package:
* Starting pay rate of £7.50 per hour.
* Pay incentives offered for weekends and bank holidays.
* Free ongoing training towards your NVQ/QCF.
