We are working with a premier wholesaler of fruit, vegetables and specialist produce based in the famous Borough Market for over 25 years. They supply some of the top end restaurants, bars and pubs all over London with the highest quality products that further their exemplary reputation.

The Role

Working as part of their procurement team you would be managing orders, reconciling customers and generating daily buying sheets to ensure all the stock levels are in place correctly. This would involve a great deal of accuracy filling out paperwork on tickets, invoices and purchasing sheets to ensure nothing slips between the cracks on orders. Orders will come in overnight and the purchase of produce per their specifications and quantities is essential to the success of the business and the role you are in. This will also require a good level of negotiation skills to deliver value keeping yourself on budget.

The shift currently operates at 01:00-11:00.

Can change to 05:00 onwards.

The Candidate

To be successful in this job you will have:
A good level of experience in the Fresh Produce sector doing a similar role, commercial experience and buying would be advantageous.
Good grasp of the English language and any other languages will be advantageous.
A great understanding of the Food Industry and a passion for it.
Clean drivers licence.
