Our client based in Theale are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their small but busy team on a long-term temporary contract - covering for a maternity leave period of between 6 and 12 months.
This role is to support the finance team with sales and purchase data input, reconciliations and analytical reporting, whilst providing sales ledger and credit control functionality.
You will have a highly analytical mind-set and strong levels of accuracy, able to demonstrate excellent levels of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
* Managing reconciliations:
* Receivable bank
* Expenses and other costs
* Sales and debtors
* Analytical reporting
* Production of periodical data analysis
* Reporting of overdue debits and the risks of bad debts
* Sales ledger function
* Helping create client invoices
* Ensuring that invoices are sent out accurately and on time to clients
* Responding in a timely manner to invoice queries from clients or team
* Taking customer payments accurately over the telephone
* Credit control
* Chasing outstanding debtors that are overdue
* Getting clients to make payment for their invoices within terms
* Ad hoc projects
* Able to demonstrate professionalism when working with clients and colleagues
* Understanding, following and respecting office procedures and policies
Requirements:
* 2-3 years plus experience in financial focused role
* Ideally AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA part qualification
* All Microsoft packages
* Highly numerate and analytical in your approach to work

Price / Salary: £10 - £12/hour
