Job Title: Assistant Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor

Location: Bristol and South Wales

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)

My client require an Assistant Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The focus of the position will be to provide a safety, health and environmental service to the operating divisions, monitoring performance and advising on good practice.

The successful Assistant Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor will be able to work on their own initiative, providing help and support whilst being well organised and resourceful. The work and service you provide has a direct impact on the safety, health and environmental department and team as well as the wider business.

Key Responsibilities for the successful Assistant Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor:

Provide support and assistance site staff on SHE issues.
Develop an accurate understanding of the Group SHE Policy and Management System.
Monitor health and safety within the allocated developments and provide appropriate reports on standards observed.
Liaise with the Divisional SHE Managers to ensure assistance as required.
Carry out investigations into incidents, accidents and ill health as directed by the SHE Operations Manager.
Ensure serious breaches of policy, procedures and legislation are immediately reported.
Assist in all areas of SHE management under the guidance of the line Manager.

The ideal Assistant Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor will have knowledge of the construction industry and the application of safety, health and environmental standards and procedures with a desire to be proactive and improve safety, health and environmental standards.

The Assistant Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor will hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and be a member of IOSH. As this is an Assistant position, you must be willing to undertake any further training or development necessary for the role.
