Marketing Assistant Intern

£16, 983 £19, 305 per annum
35 hours per week Fixed term: November to March

If youre a bright student, ideally educated to A Level or equivalent and with a real interest in education and its marketing, then heres an excellent six months opportunity to learn a variety of useful skills at our world famous University.

Your primary function will be to support our Student Recruitment and Marketing department during the busy summer period when we have a number of events, activities and administration tasks to perform. In this varied role, you will play an important part in communications and activities delivered to potential students attending the University.

Youll find this is a great opportunity contributing to the success of our Recruitment and Outreach programmes while learning more about marketing, widening participation, CRM database management and event management.

Your varied tasks will include: event preparation, attendance and post event monitoring, online data entry and CRM development, mailings, placing advertisements off and online and social media content development, involvement in planning, writing and design of the website and enewsletters, and helping out with general office duties and activities.

You must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office packages, together with good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently over the phone, via email and face-to-face. In addition, youll be a good team player, well organised with a flexible approach to managing your time.

Whilst the role is mainly Monday to Friday, there will be occasional evening and weekend work as required.
