Position: Infrastructure Support Analyst

Organisation: A property and residential company based near Bolton.

Reasons for the vacancy: Due to organic growth of the company, they are looking to recruit somebody in order to implement and support new projects for 2018.

The role:

* Maintain and support the IT Infrastructure team with new and existing projects and systems

* Ensure high availability of IT systems and recommend enhancements for applications and software

* Plan, communicate, test and implement changes to projects, iterative development

* Act as the escalation point for all Service Desk queries

* Manage the relationships with 3rd parties and suppliers

* Disaster recovery management and testing

* Implement Firewall changes

* Infrastructure patch deployment

* Server administration and maintenance

* System monitoring including storage levels

* Provide additional support to the line manager of potential efficiency gains or development opportunities that would benefit the business

* IT documentation - internal IT knowledge base

* Ensure that all issues are raised through the service desk, categorising and prioritising queries

* Provide an escalation path for service desk issues as required

* Test and build systems Monitor backups

* Uphold the values and ethos of the company culture and company brand

Skills, Qualifications and experience:

* ITIL Foundation

* VMware vSphere 5.0+

* VMware / Citrix / Hyper-V

* Remote Desktop Services

* MS Windows Server 2008 and above

* Troubleshooting and network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and vLAN's

* Backup Solutions

* Configuring and managing Cisco switches

* iSCSI/Fibre channel Storage Area Networks

* Active Directory

* MS Exchange Server 2013 / Office 365 administration

* Group Policy

* SCCM

* Sophos Central (Endpoint / Cloud Web Gateway)

* Firewall management and configuration (Palo Alto an advantage)

* Windows 7+
