A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Male Support Worker to provide care and support to a child within the Worcester area that has an acquired brain injury. In return, we offer competitive pay rates pus a full induction and ongoing training.
The Support Workers role is a unique and exciting role that will involve working within the family home and involves supporting our client to develop his social and communication skills, whilst managing his behaviours to enable him to socially interact with others.
The Support Worker will be supported by and work closely with the relevant professionals and treating therapists implementing the clients rehabilitative therapy programme, social activities such as swimming and horse riding and at the mosque.
The successful Support Worker will:
* Be male*
* Have previous experience of working in a private care setting and/or with brain injury
* Hold a full UK driving licence
* Be willing to undergo a DBS check
The hours of work are 39 per week based a rota system to including mornings, evenings, nights and weekends. Additional cover may be required during school holidays.
The pay rates are:
* £12 per hour Monday to Friday
* £14 per hour Saturday & Sunday
The clients location is 5 minutes from the M5 junction and is commutable from the South Birmingham and north Gloucestershire area.
