My Client based in Worcester are market leaders in metal forming, supplying to a wide range of markets including Automotive, Aerospace, Rail and Medical. They have a new, exciting opportunity for a skilled Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join their existing NPI team.

**Overall purpose of job:**
****
As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer you will be part of a team responsible for the smooth introduction of new products into production, including highly complex BIW panels and assemblies used on some of the most aspirational brands within the automotive and rail industries.
The MQE will work with our Project Engineers on new or resourced business projects from the RFQ stage, through order placement, supplier management, buy-off, in-house commissioning, final buy-off and acceptance (Internally & Customer).
**Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:**
* Reporting to the NPI Program Manager this position is to manage all Quality Engineering aspects of delivering new products into the business in line with customer, TS16949 & AS9100 requirements.
* Report weekly project status to Project Engineer and NPI Program Manager
* Design, input and buy off of tools, gauges and checking fixtures
* Develop Measurement Strategy aligned with Customer Specifics
* Set up measurement activities in Plant - GRR, ISIR and CAP studies
* Analysis of measurement reports and feedback to Project and Tooling Engineers for part maturation
* Ensure Customer SC's and CC's are incorporated into PFMEA and Control Plans
* Generate all APQP/PPAP/FAI documentation through to customer PPAP/FAI approval.
**Skills / knowledge:**
* Knowledge and experience of creating APQP, SPC, FMEA, PPAP and Control Plans
* Considerable Plant or Manufacturing Quality Experience
* Experience of Panel checking fixtures, gauges used in BIW Measurement
* Understanding of Customer Product Quality expectations
* Ability to read engineering drawings and ideally experience/knowledge of CAD
* Body In White (BIW) Engineering or pressing experience
* Experience within a TS16949/AS9100 environment.
