**Hours of work**

30 Hrs per Week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 9-17:00 (with flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends)

**Job Purpose**

We are looking for an experienced Counselling Co-ordinator to be part of a team who are committed to the support of survivors of rape and sexual violence. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the Counselling Service to ensure effective delivery of the service, together with supervision of staff and volunteers.

**Responsibilities**

* To manage the day to day running of the Counselling Service, ensuring smooth and effective operations and a high standard of service delivery at all times; including adequate cover and prevention of lone working
* Management, supervision and day to day support of paid counselling staff and male sessional counsellors; to provide effective leadership to the clinical team to achieve individual and team objectives
* Ensuring effective processing of all incoming counselling referrals and Initial Assessment bookings, management of waiting list, waiting time and client allocation
* To deliver external training and talks to other professionals/agencies; and to deliver internal training to other staff/volunteers as required

**Essential experience, qualifications & skills**

* Diploma or Degree in person-centred counselling
* BACP or UKCP Accredited
* Experience of managing or supervising others
* Knowledge of the impact of sexual violence
* Experience of identifying and managing safeguarding issues, making referrals to other agencies etc
* Experience of addressing and managing challenging situations
* Experience of producing information and monitoring reports
