An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager to join a leading Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) supplier based at our Launceston site. In return, we offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company car and death in service benefit.
We supply LPG to a wide range of customers across Britain ranging from private house-holders, pubs and hotels, to industrial and distribution businesses, caravan parks, poultry and arable farmers and petrol stations.
The Site Manager will report to the Head of Operations and will be responsible for managing a bulk storage and tanker distribution facility, delivering safety and compliance and effectively managing all aspects relating to people, assets, processes and performance associated with the site.
The Site Managers key responsibilities will include:
* Effectively managing the site in accordance with business and legislative requirements
* Managing safety in accordance with the Safety Management system to meet compliance and driving a safety culture
* Adhering with transport compliance, including vehicle maintenance, drivers hours and Tachograph regulations in addition to Working Time Directive regulations
* Managing compliance of company processes and procedures relating to stocks, financial controls within the operating system (CODAS)
* Complying to company Operating Procedures and Works Instructions
* Maintenance of safety critical equipment in accordance with PSPIs
* Managing plant costs within budgeted levels
* Managing site stocks in line with customer demands
* Maintaining control of business assets in alignment with expectations and standards
The successful Site Manager will have:
* Knowledge of working to Health & Safety and employment law good practice
* Good computer literacy including competence in Outlook, Word & Excel
* Experience of working with customers, in providing great service and resolving customer issues
* Ability to schedule multiple tasks effectively
* Ability to demonstrate numeracy and literacy skills
* Ability to demonstrate effective communication with customers and colleagues at all levels
* Ability to show effective management of people and problems
* Professional approach to man management to drive effective team working
* A personal commitment to Health & Safety
Desired skills:
* Knowledge in the storage of dangerous goods
* Sound knowledge in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline
* Knowledge of Bulk Tanker operations
* Experience of CODAS or similar operating system
* Hold a recognised certificate in either IOSH or NEBOSH
The hours of work are 40 per week. Applicants must be prepared to work flexibly to accommodate seasonal influences.
