Mears Care are looking for Female* community Full Time Senior Care workers positions are car Driver Essential covering our Barnsley & Wakefield Contract and have a position available immediately. Previous experience in Care/ NVQ 2 in Health & Social care essential for this role, wed love to hear from you!

As a Senior Care Worker, your work is centred around the people you work with and those in your care;
these relationships are key to the delivery of a high quality, user-focused service.
The relationships central to the role are:
1.Co-ordinator: Line Manager and your central point of contact. They will schedule your work on a
weekly basis and support you with any issues arising.
2.Trainer: Responsible for your PEAW training and ongoing professional development
3. Branch Manager ( Registered Manager): Has overall accountability for service delivery, meeting
contractual obligations and maintaining standards of care across all service users.
4.Service users: People under your care requiring varying levels of support and assistance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To provide a service of care to Service Users in accordance with legislation and Company policies
and procedures.
2. To give on-going support to new and existing staff.
3. To participate in the induction and shadowing of new staff, ensuring all shadowing forms are filled in
and handed into the office promptly.
4. To comply with policies and procedures contained in Mears Care Policies and Procedures.
5. To carry out duties to enable Mears Care to continue to comply and meet all standards relevant to
national regulation and local authority requirements.
6. To have an active awareness of personal responsibilities and accountability for helping to ensure
that a safe working environment is maintained in accordance with legislation.
7. To be responsible for the required administrational duties of recording, transmission and storage of
confidential information.
8. To ensure the care team understands the importance of their actions in meeting the targets of the
contract i.e. logging in/out on call monitoring system.
9. To ensure workers have a supply of protective clothing (aprons and gloves etc.)
10. To participate in emergency cover when required.
11. To monitor high standards of work performance in Service Users home.
12. To report to Line Manager the progress of individuals, incidents that have occurred and general
observations daily where necessary and at team meetings.
13. To participate in the on-call as required.
14. To maintain confidentiality throughout the service according to legal requirements.
15. To report promptly any concerns, complaints or grievances to their line manager / Registered
Manager.
16. To actively participate in the supervision and appraisal process.
17. To participate in training and further development as required.
18. Any other duties applicable to the post, as reasonably requested by management.
Requirements
