An excellent opportunity has arisen for a part time Male Support Worker to provide care and support to a gentleman who lives in Hednesford, Cannock. In return, we offer competitive pay rates between £10.00-12.50 per hour plus 5.6 weeks holiday per year pro rata, full training provided, DBS check provided and activity and travel allowance provided for activities completed with the client.

Our client sustained a brain injury 5 years ago and requires assistance with leisure and community activities as well as to participate in a therapy programme. The Support Worker will assist the client with:

* Transporting him by car
* Ongoing therapy programme
* Day to day programme of activity to be agreed with the client and wife

The successful Support Worker must:

* Hold a full driving licence with own car and no more than 3 points on licence
* Possess good communication skills
* Be discrete, reliable, self-motivated and cheerful
* Not have a fear or dogs, cats or snakes
* Be willing to undergo a DBS check
* Be aged 25 or over

The pay rates are £10.00 per hour Monday to Friday between 08:00-18:00 and £12.50 per hour at weekends and evenings.

The hours of work are 20 per week. The majority of these hours will be worked during the week and in the day time, however the successful candidate will need to have flexibility to work weekends and evenings by prior arrangement.
