An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Readychain team leader to join a leading energy chain systems manufacturer and installation company. We manufacture and assemble cable which is ready made to our customer requirements and have a large customer base, across many different industries. This is a new role which has become available due to the growth of the company. igus is based in the Brackmills area of Northampton.

The Readychain and Harnessing Team Leader role will be mainly Factory based with some admin/office work. Factory leader duties would include:

* Supervising a busy readychain and harnessing factory
* Testing and quality checking electrical and mechanical assemblies
* Acting as a link between factory and operations teams
* Production Planning
* Devising and implementing continuous improvement and lean projects
* Reporting to the readychain manager
* Being part of a larger factory team, led by a factory manager

Essential qualities and experience the ready chain leader will need:

* Electrical assembly
* Hands-on approach
* Production planning and scheduling
* Stock control
* Working to deadlines
* Good team work ethic
* Excellent communication skills
* Attention to detail

The ideal candidate will have experience in all of the above. Other skills that would be beneficial to this role would be previous supervisory experience, change management experience and advanced IT skills. It would also be ideal if the candidate has a driving licence and lives locally.
